Global consumer drone leader DJI has launched a new drone designed to help students learn how to code. Introducing – the DJI RoboMaster Tello Talent (TT). DJI’s latest programmable drone is intended to broaden students’ understanding of coding, giving them a new way to see their skills in action.

DJI’s Tello Talent can be coded in programming languages such as Swift, Python, and Scratch. Using a variety of coding commands, students will be able to manipulate Tello Talent‘s LED display to create simple patterns and effects.
More advanced programmers will be able to test their coding skills by providing a flock of drones with customizable maneuvers and arrangements resulting in impressive light shows.

DJI has already considered this concern by making the DJI RoboMaster Tello Talent is quite small, so there should be enough room in a typical class for the drone to safely take flight. Additionally, a built-in Time of Flight (TOF) sensor, very similar to the sensor found on the Mavic 2 Pro, will be equipped with environment detection up to 1.2m and can use simple obstacle avoidance.
